Tidioute Fishing Tournament Sign

Tidioute, PA is the site of the annual Pennsylvania State Fishing Tournament. It is held in the last full weekend of September each year. This is a “Catch and Release” tournament open to all with a valid and current PA fishing license.

Fish must be taken from the Allegheny (Kinzua) Reservoir, the Tionesta Lake, the Allegheny River between Kinzua Dam and Huner Station, or Brokenstraw and Conewango Creeks, during the two days of the tournament.

Saturday catches qualify for a final fishing contest on Sunday. Sunday's prizes include:

  • $1,000 and trophy for first place
  • $250 and trophy for second place
  • $150 and trophy for third;
  • and $100 and trophy for fourth place.

The celebration includes a carnival, parade, dancing, junior fishing derby, craft shows, prizes, fireworks and more!
